Rheology

Rheologic experiments are performed  to investigate the mechanical properties of fluids and viscoelastic materials. The rheometer AR-G2 (TA instruments) is employed for static and dynamic rheological measurements with excellent torque control up to 200 mN/m (flow curve, frequency sweep, ...). The instrument is equipped with a Peltier stage (-20 – 200 °C) and ETC camera viewer.  Accessories include different geometries (parallel plates, cones, concentric cyclinder), a solvent trap and a setup for surface rheology.
