Dark field light scattering microscope
The Nanosight NTA 2.3 dark field light scattering microscope allows the dynamic tracking of scattering objects below the Abbe limit. The cell consists of a metallized optical element illuminated by a laser beam, and the scattered light is positionally detected in 90° angle. Depending on the system, particles down to ~20 nm can be tracked with 30 frames/s and a resolution of 640 x 680 pixel. Algorithms are available that allow the determination of the hydrodynamic radius and mean square displacement plots over time. The system can be operated in a temperature range (RT) and can be equipped with Helmholz coils for magnetic field influence.
